The Tulip table is the first one-legged table in furniture history. The famous Bauhaus designer Eero Saarinen designed it in the 1950s. His plan was to do something about the boring and ugly four-legged tables. He used an aluminum pillar base to provide a clear design and as a table top he chose different shape (round, or ovale) and used material - laminate, or marble.
The result is the elegant Saarinen tulip tables, whose sweeping shape creates a sophisticated impression in all environments.
Of course, matching tulip chairs are also available for these impressive tulip tables.
Saarinen's round Tulip dining table 519 was designed between 1955 and 1958. It likes to be used as a conference table, whose sweeping shape creates a sophisticated impression in all environments.
Table base made of painted aluminum black or white, hight 72cm. Tabletops ø140cm / ø 150 cm in Laminate W/Bl or marble carrara white or marquinia-black. Marble table tops stain resistant coating.
