Management chair Alu Group by Charles Eames 1969
The versatile office chair 543 by Bauhaus designers Charles and Ray Eames features a rotating five-legged chrome base on casters with a mid-high backrest and a height-adjustable seat. It differs only insignificantly from the Executive chair 513 with a higher backrest. He was also called Eames (EA 217). Its features and the armrests, as well as the tilt mechanism make it a versatile office chair, which also adapts to the body weight. He belongs to the s.g. soft pad chairs.
High quality leather covers, or linen are your choice.
Charles and Ray Eames began developing the so-called Aluminum Group in 1955.
As a guideline, it was necessary to develop a chair that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Thus, after three years of work, the first prototypes of the "Leisure Group" were created. Only in 1969 did the variants with additional padded bags (soft pad). Each chair in this aluminum group can be individually adjusted. Because the user sits on it all day in the office, it is especially important for the body and the health to have a selection of different settings.
The chairs of the Aluminum Group are probably the best-known office chairs in the world. In many conference rooms, they have become indispensable.
