List of products by brand Ludwig Mies van der Rohe

( * March 27, 1886 Aachen, † 1969 Chicago, actually Maria Ludwig Michael Mies) was one of the most important modernist architects. His art applies to the expression of constructive logic and spatial freedom in classical form. His concept was so rational and universal that until today, in line with technical innovations, it has been developed further and further. He also became famous as a representative of minimalism in architecture, expressed by the formula "less is more".

The Bauhaus in Dessau by Walter Gropius, from 1930 briefly the new workplace of L.M. van der Rohe. In 1939, Mies van der Rohe founded his architectural firm in Chicago and, following the merger of the Armor Institute with the Lewis Institute to become the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), was commissioned a year later to design the new campus for this college.

Tugendhat furniture (including Brno chair, Tugendhat armchair, rosewood chair, glass table) collaboration L. Reich (1930) and the interior of the Arts Club of Chicago (1951).

To commemorate Lundwig Mies van der Rohe, the Mies-van-der-Rohe School (Berufskolleg für Technik der Städte Aachen) was named in his hometown of Aachen and the pavilion was rebuilt in Barcelona in 1986 and again in 1987 the Mies van der Rohe Award for European Architecture donated.
